A news outlet I occasionally check in on is one called Pitchfork. It is an online music publication with articles about musicians, tracks, and the music industry. They caught my attention a couple of years ago after referred to me by a friend. What they do well, first and foremost, is keep up the ins and outs of the music industry and follow to keep updates on nearly every relevant artist. Recently, they have written articles all the way from the death of Billy Joe Shaver to an article on Ty Dolla $ign. Not only do they stay up to date, but they keep a variety of different articles for different readers.
Pitchfork also has been attempting to appeal to the younger teenage market as a way to attract new readers. They have done this by creating a look and feel of a newer more attractive set up on the site. As opposed to Rolling Stone who has had the same look online and in print for as long as one can remember. This being so it is a very well accomplished news outlet, specifically for music, and has done very well even with a goliath like Rolling Stone as a competitor.
