Joe Biden’s presidential campaign consisted of many different ads, but they generally had the same idea of bashing President Trump in some way. While my own political views are not in line with either candidate, one of Biden’s ads stuck out to me more than any other, and I considered it to be very creative.
With Biden’s push of mail-in voting and the public opinion of Trump’s babbling, the Biden administration/campaign created, what I would consider, one of the best political ads of the past 12 years. Consisting of a bubble representing Trump’s speaking mouth on a ballot, it is shown being filled in as a vote for Biden while silencing Trump. After the Ballot is mailed the words “Silence Him” are displayed before fading out.
This ad caught my eye because of its creativity but also because of the direct political satire used to show a fault of Trump’s. While this did not win my vote due to other reasons it did do its job of catching the attention of the viewer. Finding ads that do this especially for me is exceptionally hard considering I, and most viewers, usually mute the TV when ads begin airing. This ad not only did its job but will go down as one of the best political ads in modern-day history.
